  1. Trades
    1. Taking Trades
      1. To start a trade you must be at least an Ordinary Cadet (Navy) or equivalent. Cadets in Recruit Training are not allowed to take trade tests.
      2. You may take any trade you wish to; no trades are restricted to a section, and no sections are restricted to taking certain trades.
      3. You may have only three (3) trades below Level 4 in progress at any time.
      4. You must start a trade at level one and can only take the next level after you have passed the previous one.
    2. Results and Waiting Periods
      1. Trades tests shall be marked within seven days of being submitted.
      2. Notification of a pass will be displayed on the Trades Results page.
      3. Notification of a fail will be sent by email or MyWCC.
      4. Tests that are submitted before the previous trade has been graded will be classed as a failure.
    3. Making a Trade
      1. Only persons that have completed a trade up to level 5 may apply to make a trade.
      2. All new trade submissions should include 5 levels of 15 questions each along with answer sheets and any required images and any works cited.
      3. All new trade submissions should be sent to both the Trades Officer and the Training Officer. Both parties must approve the trade.
      4. If the trade is approved, images will be created and the trade shall be added to the current trades.
      5. You may only make one trade every two months. New trades will not count towards the creator's section's trade and qualification points.
      6. Any trade that is submitted becomes property of the Training Department, and the Trades Officer may do what he or she sees fit with it.
      7. When a new trade is approved, published and open to submissions, the creator or author will be awarded the Trade in full (up to and including level 5) as remuneration for his work.
    4. Master Trades
      1. The various Master Trades Badges can be achieved by attaining the relevant level 5 trades and 1 gold qualification (or silver Seal or Air Observer).
      2. You may only use each trade towards 1 Master Badge.
      3. Once the Master Badge is achieved the 3 trades will be forfeited for the correct Master Trade badge.
      4. The Qualification will still be visible unless it is a part of a Master Qualification badge.

  2. Qualifications
    1. Taking Qualifications
      1. To start a qualification you must be at least an Ordinary Cadet (Navy) or equivalent. Cadets in Recruit Training are not allowed to take qualification tests.
      2. You may only take a qualification if you have passed a level 2 trade test.
      3. Some qualifications have additional requirements that need to be met before they can be taken.
    2. Results and Waiting Periods
      1. Trades tests shall be marked within seven days of being submitted.
      2. Notification of a pass will be displayed on the Trades Results page.
      3. Notification of a fail will be sent by email.
      4. The separate parts of a qualification (silver and gold) must be submitted separately, silver first.
    3. Making a Qualification
      1. Only persons that have completed a trade up to level 5 and have 2 gold qualifications may apply to make a qualification.
      2. All new qualification submissions should include 1 level of 10 questions and 1 level of 5 questions along with answer sheets.
      3. All new qualification submissions should be sent to both the Qualifications Officer and the Training Officer. Both parties must approve of the qualification.
      4. If the qualification is approved, images will be created and the qualification shall be added to the current qualifications.
      5. You may only make one qualification every month. New qualifications will not count towards the creator's section's trade and qualifications results points.
      6. When a new Qualification is approved, published and open to submissions, the creator or author will be awarded the Qualification in full (up to and including the Gold Level) as remuneration for his work.
    4. Master Qualifications
      1. The various Master Qualifications Badges can be achieved by attaining the relevant gold qualifications.
      2. You may only use each qualification towards 1 Master Badge.
      3. Once the Master Badge is achieved the relevant qualifications will be forfeited for the correct Master Qualification badge.
  3. Staffing
    1. Any person who is appointed to the position of Trades Officer or Qualifications Officer, shall no longer be allowed to submit trades or qualifications.
    2. Any other person who has had sight of the answer keys, either in part or in whole, shall no longer be allowed to submit trades or qualifications.
    3. Where either 3.1. or 3.2. apply, the member should be prevented from submitting a trade or qualification. A centralised record should also be kept of these members
    4. Where either 3.1. or 3.2. apply, the member shall still be able to create a new trade or qualification, and be awarded that trade or qualification as a result.
