  1. Medals & Awarding Personnel

    Below are all of the approved awards and medals in order of importance.

Web Cadet Corps Medal Web Cadet Corps Medal Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required and is considered to play a major role in the Web Cadet Corps. Commandant
Medal of Valour Medal of Valour Awarded to any member who saves a life. Commandant upon three eyewitness statements or acceptable equivalent proof
Medal of Gallantry Medal of Gallantry Awarded to any member who performs any other act of conspicuous gallantry. Commandant upon three eyewitness statements or acceptable equivalent proof
Gold Award Gold Award Awarded annually to any member who is voted by the NCOs and cadets to be the greatest asset to the whole Web Cadet Corps. Vote by all NCOs and cadets
Silver Award Silver Award Awarded annually to the member who gets the highest average test scores over the year. Commandant
Bronze Award Bronze Award Awarded annually to the member who is voted by the officers to be the greatest asset to the whole Web Cadet Corps. Voted by officers
NCO Medal of Excellence NCO Medal of Excellence Awarded annually to the most outstanding NCO of the year judged on activity, leadership potential and contribution to the Corps over the year. Corps Senior NCO
Commandant's Citation Commandant's Citation Awarded to any member who consistently performs above the standard required by their position, although they may not necessarily work in a department or unit. Commandant
Department Cross Department Cross Awarded to the member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards a department. Chief of Support Staff upon recommendation from the Department Head and one other recommending body
Navy Cross Navy Cross Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards the Navy section. Chief of Operations upon recommendation from the Commanding Officer and two other recommending bodies
Coast Guard Cross Coast Guard Cross Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards the Coast Guard section. Chief of Operations upon recommendation from the Commanding Officer and two other recommending bodies
Air Force Cross Air Force Cross Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards the Air Force section. Chief of Operations upon recommendation from the Commanding Officer and two other recommending bodies
Army Cross Army Cross Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards the Army section. Chief of Operations  upon recommendation from the Commanding Officer and two other recommending bodies
Marines Cross Marines Cross Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards the Marines section. Chief of Operations upon recommendation from the Commanding Officer and two other recommending bodies
Space Cross Space Cross Awarded to any member who consistently performs above and beyond the standard required towards the Space section. Chief of Operations upon recommendation from the Commanding Officer and two other recommending bodies
Department Citation Department Citation Awarded to members who exceed the perscribed strandards of their departments, but who do not meet the standard to earn a Dept Cross. Department Head with input from department staff and Chief of Support Staff
Unit Citation Unit Citation Awarded to members who exceed the perscribed strandards of their unit, but who do not meet the standard to earn a Unit Cross. Unit Commanding Officer with input from the Chief of Operations
Blake Award (Officer) Blake Award (Officer) Awarded annually to the officers of the best unit of the year. Commandant and Adjutant
Blake Award (Cadet) Blake Award (Cadet) Awarded annually to the NCOs and cadets of the best unit of the year. Commandant and Adjutant
Assignment Medal Assignment Medal Awarded to any member who submits a piece of superior quality work. Anyone holding the position of USNCO or above.
Pastoral Care Award Pastoral Care Award Awarded to any member who consistently puts care of their own cadets ahead of their own well being. Anyone holding the position of USNCO or above.
Public Relations Medal Public Relations Medal Awarded to any member who contributes greatly to the Public Relations Department, or the image of the Web Cadet Corps itself. Commanding Officer, Department Head, or above
Maintenance Medal Maintenance Medal Awarded to any member for exceptional contributions to the design, layout, scripting, or other areas of responsibility of the Site Maintenance Department above the standard of The Web Development Medal. Site Maintenance Officer
Harris Award Harris Award Awarded annually to the members of the most improved unit of the year. Commandant and Adjutant
Trades Trophy Ribbon Hall of Fame Medal Awarded for individual achievement in Trades and Qualificationand earning the distinction of accumulating 100 HOF points Trades Officer
Trades Trophy Ribbon Trades Trophy Ribbon Awarded annually to the members of the section with the most trades and qualification passes in the year. Trades Officer
Exceptional Service Medal Exceptional Service Medal Awarded to any member for each years exceptional service. Administration Officer
Officers Academy Honours Degree Honors Award
(Officer)
Awarded to any officer who graduates from the Officers Academy with a degree and average of 85%. Officers Faculty Administrator
NCO College Honours Medal Honors Award
(NCO)
Awarded to an NCO who completes an Academy Course at the Honors level (passing score of 85% or higher). NCO Faculty Administrator
Cock of the Walk (Divisional Officer) Cock of the Walk (Divisional Officer) Awarded annually to the Divisional Officer, or equivalent, of the best division of each unit. Commanding Officer
Cock of the Walk (Divisional Senior NCO) Cock of the Walk (Divisional Senior NCO) Awarded annually to the Divisional Senior NCO, or equivalent, of the best division of each unit. Commanding Officer
Cock of the Walk Cock of the Walk Awarded annually to the remainder of the best division of each unit. Commanding Officer
Recruitment Medal Recruitment Medal Awarded to any member for every 5 cadets recruited and placed on a unit's nominal role. Commanding Officer, Department Head, or above.
HTML Writers Award Web Development Medal Awarded to any member who makes useful contributions to the design, layout, scripting, ideas and/or other areas that the Site Maintenance Department is responsible for. Member of the Site Maintenance Department
Training Contribution Ribbon Training Contribution Ribbon Awarded to any member who contributes to training. Member of the Training Department
Cadet Input Award Cadet Input Award Awarded to any member who produces a piece of work for the Web Cadet Corps above their regular duties. Anyone holding the position of Unit Senior NCO or above
Features Medal Features Medal Awarded to any member who participates in a feature and places according to the feature's rules. Anyone holding the position of USNCO or above.



2. Awarding Medals

2.1. Other than the Features Medal, if a medal is awarded more than once a bar, in the form of a rosette, shall be added to the medal.
2.2. Other than the Features Medal, if a medal is awarded six times a wreath shall be added.
2.3. Only one wreath may be awarded to a medal.
2.4. If the Features Medal is awarded more than once the number displayed on it shall be increased by one.
2.5. The 15th time the Features Medal is awarded it shall be changed for a new, red version of the medal, with no numbers on it.


3. Revoking Medals

3.1. The Commandant may revoke any medal.
3.2. Revoking of medals must be accompanied by a letter of explanation and, if revoked for lack of information, a request for that information.
3.3. Any person who awards a medal has the right to revoke it. 
3.4. Any revoking of a medal done to spite a person or for revenge is an offense.
3.5. The Administration Officer may request at any time reasons for the awarding of a medal; however the Administration Officer is not to revoke a Web Cadet Corps Medal or Cross until such reasons could not be satisfied.


4. Dates

4.1. Medals awarded annually are to be presented in January.
4.2. Non-annual medals may be presented at any time throughout the year.


5. Displaying

5.1. Medals are to be worn in descending order of importance (filling rows left to right and then top to bottom).
5.2. Rows of medals are to consist of no more than five medals.
5.3. In cases where two or more rows are needed the bottom row shall be filled to capacity then another row is to be started above it.
5.4. The top row is to be centered on the bottom row.

6. Unit and Department Achievement Medals

6.1. A unit or department achievement award is defined as; "any award that is issued to a unit, that results in all members of that unit receiving an approved medal as a result of their group achievements over the period of a year."
6.2. The only approved unit or department achievement awards are: Harris Award, Blake Award and Cock of the Walk Award.
6.3. A unit or department achievement award will only be awarded to any member of the WCC who has spent at least 50% of the year within the winning unit or department.
6.4. The unit or department achievement award may be awarded to any person outside of the winning unit or department, if they meet the above requirement (6.3)

7. Pending

8. Exceptional Service

8.1. The Exceptional Service medal will be awarded for a one year period of continuous and exceptional service.
8.2. Continuous service will be interrupted should the individual enter the reserves or retire.
8.3. Exceptional service, for the purposes of this regulation, will be defined as zero formal entries on the individuals justice record.
8.4. The Exceptional Service Medal may be withheld if an individual has failed to check in for 3 or more months of the year in question
